Nice fish....I have relatives in New Zealand.....Now if my pension check was a bit bigger.

Since my 2 weight would not do so well in controlling a 14 pound trout I would have to shoot the bastard to gain the upper hand. In the grand scheme of things this would be a valuable lesson for the locals as it disturbs less lairs and would allow them to catch more trout per outing
Stephen could introduce them to proper creels for that size fish, his wonderful ash pack baskets.
I do believe they would speak of us in a good way for many years upon our departure.
