The Temps in Rapid City are insane for this time of year . I believe it was in the low 60's . I know right now it's 58. So needless to say I pulled out the fly rod and went fishing. I fished a midge emerger size 18 today. I landed several trout all in the 10 inch category . A mix of Rainbows and Browns. One of the Bows had the prettiest marking and color I have caught in my life. the cheeks were bright red and the stripe was just as bright. Didn't take a camera with me so no photo. Might head back out tomorrow if the temps are a repeat of today. I figure I better get as much fly fishing as I can now. The lack of moisture this winter could be extremely bad on the fish this summer . Water levels will be very low and I am sure the trout will be under a ton of stress.  During this time I head to the lakes and leave the stream fish alone. I am hoping I don't have to call on my rain dance because at my age I look a bit odd running around the back yard butt naked jamming to AC/DC Neighbors go into complete shock.  Lets just hope mother nature turns on the snow so i don't have to do such drastic measures Dave V

I'm with Stephen, you will pay for your sins. Surprised  Ziggy is punching through feet of ice to even get a sniff at a trout and you're fishing in yer skivies with a fly rod.

About all that rain you sent here, we're gonna repay you with a few yards of snow Laughing Out Loud

Koda if you have the power to give us yards of snow please do.  Looks like 50's again today . Guess it's time to pull out the old fly rod and hit the streams. Nice and sunny to. Just not right . If we had some moisture to go with the warmth I would be very happy.
