 Hey Gang,

Just a quick intro here.........

I'm Bill (Breadcrust).  I live in the lakes region of NH.  Ive been flyfishing since the '70s mostly

on lakes and ponds but in the last few years i've taken up the sport in the rivers.  I retired last

year from 30 years of technical illustrating so as an artist I'm able to sit on the bank and sketch

when ain't biting.  Needless to say I have a lot of drawings.  I'm no expert by any means but I

seem to have a knack for finding fish.  Years ago an old timer told me, "Every year they're

behing the same rock."  and he was right!  I tie my own flies (nothing stylish but the fish like

them) and build my own rods and on any given day I run out the door with the bear minimum

of equipment (back to basics).

When I'm not out whiping the water I play 5-string bluegrass banjo (If you know any fiddlers

let me know) and I started a very small business making and selling custom nautical lamps.

You can check them out  at SAYERBAY

There you have it...... Hope to see you on the stream or here on line.

Bill

Welcome Bill!  I too live in NH.  Just a bit south of you in the capital city.  Thanks for the introduction and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about all the chat that goes on here.

Hi Bill,

Welcome aboard! You have some nice looking lamps.

We both come from the same work world. I'm an illustrator/graphic designer too, but I have a way to go before I retire.

Enjoy the site.

Welcome aboard Bill,

Hope you enjoy the site some good stuff here along with some great guys . look forward to you sharing some about you and your adventures along with some drawings , my dad is an artist and i like seeing what people can do with paper and utensils , i enjoy photography so you should see many pics in my posts .

I have also learned what the old timer told you they do seem to hold up in same places year in and out its always nice to goto a spot pick out a rock lay a fly in there only to get bit, love taking people and showing them this i say throw it there and hold on LOL they laugh at me until the fish is on then they ask how i knew LOL ha ha fish a place enough and it gets pretty easy to see where they like to hang ... I have been fly fishing for about 15 years now but a fisherman my whole life.

Just want to thank everyone for the warm welcomes.  I've been away visiting family and just got back.

I usually start to get the "fishing bug" around mid february so I better start digging out the tying material

pretty soon.  I mostly fish bucktails in the still waters but I'm thinking of bringing them over to the rivers

more often this year. That idea should last about a week when I realize this aint workin'.  Then I'll tie

on an Adams and start catching fish again.

See ya out there and thanks again,

Bill
