Ok lets do this again LOL i did this long thing had all pics inserted and lost it somehow?

Our trip Started early wednesday morning we headed to the airport.

We had a quick 55 min flight to BWI

Leaving the airport , which was a good thing cause when we got out to my buddies truck he was in a heated conversation with a cadet that made him move and drive about 3 miles around to pick us up when we were right there LOL it was pretty funny exchange had to be there . here is my buddy Randy laughing as we drove away .

We drove to his house stopped along the way to get some food for dinner he atually lives real close to PA and we headed over the boardere to the meat market . Once we got to his house we took out our bows to shoot and make sure the airline treated our bows with respect.

After making sure bows were all set randy fired up the grill and cooked up some yummie steaks which we enjoyed with all the fix'ns

After the meal we hung out in his living room and talked hunting and such.

so we decide to go 1st light and hunt morn so off to bed have to get out of house about 400 am we get there and get in stands here is the view as the sun rose from mine.

ok so after a 6 hour sit no deer movement was almost 60 degrees we calleda day and went back to randys for dinner and little sight seeing around gettysburg, and such we decided the next day we would get there about noon we arrive at 1130 and get set up and sit . about 2 pm i get a text from my wife that she sees a fox thena few min later i see the same fox i remember even though i am deer hunting the guy that is letting us hunt behind his house told us the problems he has with foxes so i decided i will try to take it out of the population. i miss of course then decided i should prob go get my arrow so i get down and go get it  as i walk 20 steps i look up to see deer running off . boy was i mad i should have left the arrow oh well i get back up in stand and sit . like 10 min later it gets real crazy about a dozen deer come running from my right i stand up grab bow and wait about 8 run by down towards my wife i wait see a big doe 14 yards settle the pin whack complete pass threw watch deer run off and head towards my wife now i am worried she may shoot same deer but before i could finish the thought my deer falls over dead 30 seconds top from shot to death Smile Next i realize there are still 3 deer standing right in front of me looking towards my wife and my dead deer a small doe or button buck right under me . derrrr grab another arrow dummy LOL so i do and start to look around i look left and realize the last deer about 17 yards away is a big buck biggest i have seen with a bow in my hand so i get ready for a shot i watch and wait the small deer starts to walk and the buck takes a couple of steps giving me a decent shot so i take it whack loud hit , hit it high but got good penertration i watch as he run off and snapped the arrow off on a tree so i have a marker of where he went . now i realize what just happened and i had to sit to collect my self not only did i just kill a doe i also shot a buck and prob could have shot a 3rd all in 10 min window WOW this is Awesome . What i didn't realize is that my wifes stand was about 75 yards away and she had deer on her as well, diffrent group when all the comotion happened at my stand it pushed her deer away and she eneded up with no shots Smile i was very disapointed and i could tell she was happy for me but was disapointed as well . i figure we had another day and it hpefully would pan out.

Here is a pic of the arrow minutes after it went threw the doe

and if you look close in the next pic you will see my deer 28 yards from where she was hit .(Koda i recommend G5T3 broadheads )

my wifes stand another 60 yards in same direction she got to watch her fall as well .

well after i collected myself my budy got his stuff and came to my tree

I was excited i got down and we talked about the buck i texted wife to tell her we were gonna go look for it and sit tight incase we pushed anything to her . we wnet and looked and searched found decent blood but it wasn't pass threw so hard to follow we figure we let him lay and stiffen up over night . only prob is foxes and possiums . but i guess it was a chance we had to take.

Its about dark we head back to my doe to get some pics and meet up with the wife. This is what i walked up to

sorry for all the blood but thats a perfect example of the new broadhead technology.

so now its kinda bitter/sweet i got 97 lb doe and hit a buck . We head home and deided the deer are using this in the afternoon so we head back for 10 am to give alisa a chance to get in her stand and me a chance to go look fo my buck we get there and get alisa all set up.

Well now my focus was on my buck i wanted to find him hate the feeling i have when i have wounded deer out there and not sure of his fate as most any hunter . my friend had a buddy that has a dog so we used him in the morning and found fresh blood quite a bit and i knew the deer wasn't doing so hot but we just couldn't locate him then i went up in a patch of woods right up against someones yard fence and a group of little bushes and i came across this deer ??? dead as dead can be with a huge rack ? i didn't think my deer was that big but  it was dead and was worked over real good from foxes and possium at this point it was about 14 hours since shot i guess my buddy says possium will eat threw climb in and eat the guts and foxes just chew it up. i cut the head off not to take the chance on contaminated meat, i tagged it to make it all legal. too bad meat was sorta wasted but the rack will not be going to do a euro mount . can't be 100% sure i was the one to harvest this deer so i will call it "The  deer i found in VA" while hunting , the meat and carcus will come handy for the land owner to hunt foxes with during the winter. and it was not a sucessful trip for my wife as far as filling a tag but my buddy asured us we are going back and he is going to make sure she gets a deer . She is disapointed but thats hunting i know if she sticks with it she will get one . she really hasn't lost intrest in hunting she keeps saying she thinks she is more a bear hunter then deer which works for me as long as she continues to share the woods with me it makes our relationship much stronger i feel.

Here  are more pics and this will be Part 1 of 2 i will add 2nd story of what we got to see when not hunting.

While walking looking for my deer had feeling i was being watched LOL looks like this tree has a face.

Tons of these and i mean tons Buck Heaven......

Buck i found after i cut his head off.

9 points we rough scored it back at the house to 136 5/8 " prob a bit bigger we did it real quick and i tried to skin most of it to let the bugs get to it quicker for euro mount. see where the foxes had already eaten his ear & chewed a little between his antlers.

This is what it looked like when i left it onmonday morn my friend is comming up Ice fishing and will bring it with him when he comes up in couple few weeks . i saved this site to his favorites so i am hoping he will sign upSmile

hope you have enjoyed this segment pay attention for Part 2 comming soon .... This took me about 2 hours to do this one........
