I'm sure many of you have seen the movie or read the book .( The River Runs Through It.) Can I safely say do to this book fly fishing has exploaded ? I could be wrong but it seams to me before this movie there were less flyfisherman or woman on the streams. Do you find this to be true with you ? Do you feel this movie or book has impacted fly fising as we now know it ?

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Dave

My thinking is that it created a spert of sorts but I really don't think it impacted fly fishing that much. If any thing we are seeing a very strong decline in Hunting and Fishing in most states. License fees are going up and the number sold is going down.

Just my two cents.
