Got a heads up from my buddy Darrel on this one. Andrew Schafermeyer a Fisheries Biologist for NH F&G  caught this one from the CT River in Stewartstown. Now that's a respectable fish! 22 inches

I got that email too.  I just met that guy.  He's the nice guy I wrote about.  Does that mean your email was in the forward list with mine?

OMG what a beautiful fish.  I'd love to fight that beast in.

I was wondering what happened to you. Nice to see you out of the hornet's nest and on here!

Darrel is good people. If he posts on the dark forum I am not aware of it but he does lurk there Big Grin

He'd be a good one to invite over here  IMHO because when I met him he was shaking his head about the BS and rhubarb that goes on in FFNH

I'm already baiting some of my asscociates to come on over, the water's fine. Oh they'll come, one way or the other. Peaceful, or, kickin and squealin like a girl Laughing Out Loud

I mentioned it and as you said he was pretty adamant that posting was no longer something he had any interest in.  He knew where and what I had been up to from the websites.  He even knew that I had been active here.  So lurking seems to be his thing.  He mentioned how Lee was a great guy and they gave him too much crap over at FFinNH, and his son was also turned off by the politics.

I was/am still new enough to that forum so that most of it goes over my head.  I am fairly certain that eventually I will get attacked or rubbed the wrong way but until I have a negative experience like that I will continue to prowl and prod looking for good folks.

You are a good man. I'd hate to see you get flamed over there but no doubt it will happen. Ok, you can be the talent scout. If you see a good one invite em over here. Like I said, I found 4, you being one of the 4.

Myself I could weather a pretty good storm as I've got quite a bit of experience in the combat zone from Hunt America. But at my age I'm with Lee, "Life in the slow lane".  I don't need the aggravation.

Makes no sense to get my pants all up in a knot, stressed out, and for what. I'd bite the stem of one of my prized Meerchaums and then I'd really go over the edge Crazy

Banter is good, like the Dave & Stephen thing. It's all good clean fun. I saw dudes going for the jugular vein over there though.

I'll be the last one to tell you anything excepting of course maybe to toss a fly over here because I know there is a good trout there.

Myself, I like the folks here, the peace and quiet, and it's actually fun to be on a forum again. From the sounds of it that NJ forum must be a real hoot. Nah

I did Clark's for a brief spell. Not my cup of tea. If you don't have some priceless heirloom bamboo rod and a vintage classic reel you don't fit. I got real friendly with two of the guys there and I told them the board was stuck up. I like the guy with a beat up Pfluger Medalist and a glass rod hanging on by a thread that was the chaps Father's rod, or even his Grand Father's.  No airs or pretense with a man like that. He's out there to fish and enjoy life, my kind of people.

Sweet Brown. Nice color . Looks like a very healthy fish. I agree would like to go a round with that fella. Test my 4wt for sure. Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
