Someone once asked me if there are big trout in the Black Hills. Take a look at the Brown Hans caught our local fly fishing guide andowner of the local fly shop

I wish I was going to NY.  But maybe next year and more likely the year after that.  There is still plenty of time to chase down fish, but it is so tempting knowing there are monster fish and adventures to be had all over the globe.

Whats amazing is the color and size of the Brown .  The stream isn't all that big from which it was caught and released  . I am so glad that the Browns are making a recovery . The problem with poachers and Didimo almost wiped out the large fish and the wild population of Browns. Not to mention a 10 year drought. With the higher water and rain this spring has improved our fishery immensely. I am looking fwd to the weekend. I might get to fish for some wild Brookies . I might have to rent a vehicle to do it but I have to wet a line I am going crazy.
