I stumbled across these videos recently.  They're great for both the beginner and more advanced tyer.  If anyone has any more tutorials they know of feel free to add them to the thread.

Nice find Nic

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Thanks for the links.  Man I wish I had some good hooks right now!  Sadly I recently purchased a large collection of used tying supplies and the hooks have proved to be cheap or deteriorated.  They break in the vice when tying off, or they bend straight when you snag the hook.  They probably would also if you hooked a good fish but I doubt that will happen to me again for a week or two at least.

This winter is going to be a tying extravaganza!  I really enjoy it and will probably be glued to my vice as long as I have materials to make thousands (okay probably like a couple hundred) for next season.  Oh what a winter it will be!

I lost a ton of flies in the beginning mostly to shrubery, but now they are most often lost to rocks, or fish (Pickerel and bass usually).  But I can't wait to stock up anyway!

(I think I might actually take some classes, but then again you tube is pretty awesome, and these videos were extremely detailed in the techniques demonstrated.  So who knows?

BTW, I hope there is a meeting in our near future Nic.  Zig says you are a pretty cool guy, and since I think he is, I'm thinking we'll get along pretty good too.  Actually it is kind of funny the number of similarities that Zig and I have.

Everyone be aware there are hundreds of videos on this site under the "Articles->Fly Tying" menu option.  Most of these have been submited by Dave V.  Most are from YouTube but from other places as well.  Check them out.

See  Yah

Thanks
