I\'m New Here

Well....  I heard this rumor that I might be welcomed here with open arms.  LOL!  I appreciate the invite.Big Grin

I'm Theron Hall.  I moved to Concord NH about three years ago and gave up the outdoor activities I had grown up with because I didn't ven know where to start I\'m Lost

I have always been intrigued by fly fishing and on my way home from a weekend in ME last May, I saw some one fly fishing off the coast, an I thought to myself, "I'm going home and breaking out the fly fishing rod my dad bought me twelve years ago and figure it out."  After a month of fishing a stocked river location five days a week, I got lots of poison ivy, and finally caught my first trout.  It was awesome.

I enjoyed the time to myself and the nature that surrounded me.  I was absolutely thrilled about catching my first trout as well.

I am slowly coming back to my roots and I am loving it.  Fly fishing is a very deep topic.  There is much to learn and it may take me a life time to become any sort of master, but I am trying to learn as much as I can.  With the kind help of people I have met online I have been immersed with knowledge and friendship.

I hope the membership of this forum will further lead me in these directions.

Thanks,

Theron

Hello Theron. My arms are wide open. Welcome to the site. I am sure you will find lots of info here and people willing to help in many ways as they can.  I love the art of fly fishing and the places it takes me to. Dang posion ivy has got me a few times as well.  Sucks for sure. Looking fwd to some good conversation with you . Looks like we have got some very good folk joining Lee's site in the last few days .  I think his site is going to take off now. Good to have ya Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Well thank you Dave!  I sure hope that I can contribute as much as I take away.  I do enjoy sharing my experiences and the lessons that I have learned.  My resume is still pretty short when it comes to FF, but i'm working towards my degree.  LOL!Geek

   Thanks

Theron
