Hey Ziggy . I have heard and seen some folks up in the North Woods of Maine that have fished mouse patterns for the Landlocked Salmon. Some time ago I watched a TV fishing show and they were using them to take large Brook Trout in Northern Quebec. Some of the guy's around here in the Dakotas have tried it for Browns but have had no success. Would like to give it a shot here in the fall for those Browns . Let me know how you do when you give it a shot . Dave V
Nice post Ziggy. Great photography and crystal clear water. It would be nice to have fishing like that at your back door and not have to travel to be part of it.
I have the full dvd, it's an amazing video shot in new zeeland and I will be there someday!!!!

Well recently it came to my attention a few guys i know went out one evening with mouse pattern and they were not looking for Bass. They were after larger browns at dusk to dark with a mouse. after seeing the pictures of the beautiful Rainbows they caught on the mouse .:wtf: i thought they told me they were targeting browns but only managed 3-4 18-22" bows .... man i had to try it i have started researching and are having a couple of friends that actually can tie flies LOL make me up some to try .... my next step is to take steps to find some water this will work in i have few ideas but have yet to try it waiting on the flies
I did come across this viedo it is one of the best flyfishing viedo's i have ever seen . i realize this is not local water but it is just well put together the filming is great and the casting you get to see is amazing , not to mention the browns and rainbows they are catching
Enjoy it is pretty cool to me at least .
