The only consolation for that is that I can blame the Grandson..
Now Stephen would you really do that to your Grandson. At his age he should be exempt from that kind of treatment.

Nice Stephen but you know what I am going to ask. Where are the photo's MR ? To bad about the fly box. Maybe it will float to somebody down river and it will be their lucky day. Glad you and the grandson got to reel in a few fish . Sounds like some good times. Good memories for him he will take with him for ever. Now if he lives though the lost fly box punishment then he can share those memories and stories with his kids someday. Sitting by a campfire cooking up some hot dogs and marshmallows
Finally mastered the photo thingie. Presently encouraging the Grandson to tie flies.
That way he will be able to replace the flies.

I give you an A+ for your effort.

The Grandson and I went back to the Miramichi last week for a few more days fishing salmon.
On Wednesday I had a few half-hearted passes at my fly. Thursday I wounded one and solidly hooked one.
It was a co-operative effort...I hooked it...Grandson played it(first time playing a salmon) and I landed it..
My first salmon in several years.Fly of the day was a white-tailed green machine..About 15 fish were landed
in that pool that day. and about a dozen the day before. Friday morning was a lot slower. Fish were going through,
but not in great numbers. The only disaster of the trip was watching one of my fly boxes float round the bend.
The only consolation for that is that I can blame the Grandson..
Happy Fishing and Tying
