Hi.My name is Chris Byrne I live in the  town of Weymouth on the southshore of Mass.I am a Stonemason/Bricklayer by trade getting ready to retire soon.I have been flyfishing for most of my life I grew up on the Shannon and Mulcair Rivers in Limerick Ireland.I have had some great teachers over the years when it comes to Flyfishing &  tying.I was taught Salmon Fly dressing by 2 of the best tyers in my world, one being a gillie named Johnny Doherty from Limerick Ireland who taught me how to dress the Irish Salmon & Sea Trout Flies and fish them. And Al Brewster from Cape Cod who taught me how to dress the canadian and american Salmon Flies.

Lee I think this is a great forum for local fisherman.Keep up the good work. When I log in again soon I will tell you a great story on how I met  Ted Williams  fishing the Miramichi.

Welcome Chris

Thanks for the kind words and you now have full access to the forum.

I can't wait to here your story about Ted Williams.  What would be best for you to do is use the "Submit and Article" link in the Info menu and post a "Fishing Story" for us about this.  I will give you full access for the story editor as well.

Thanks

Lee

Welcome Chris I think you will enjoy the site. Great group from all over. I'm from Methuen, MA and flyfish both fresh and salt. Took a lesson this past winter on tying hairwing salmon flies and am praying I have what is working when I return to the Gaspe' this summer. Once again enjoy.

Welcome to the site Chris . Looking fwd to hearing your fish stories. Good folk here on the site . Even some folks from north of the border  They are good folk to . That Stephen guy is a little shady  though. He can't help it he's a Canadian fan. He hasnt' said one word to me after the Bruins knocked his team out of the playoffs. That could because his wife a fan of the the Red Wings are about to go to. He might be in the work shop to hide. Love you Stephen. I to would like to hear your story of Old Ted.  Well once again welcome aboard don't be shy post often. Dave v

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
