Now that opening day has come and gone for you folks in Maine .Have of you wet a line ?   If your like me I still have yet to get my fly on the water.  Sad very Sad.  I guess my next day off is out of the question wind rain and snow are in the forecast .  Although we have had some teaser days where the weather was nice and warm I was stuck at work dreaming of a mayfly hatch and large Browns slurping them in. Damn Damn Damn . Well I am off to work . I just thought I would check in and see if any of you folks have had any chance to hit the water. Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

You are not alone Dave, I too have not wet a line yet.  Maybe this Sat.  Weather is a little iffy that day but I may get out, I will report if I do.

Thanks

Things are not perfect here, water is still cold, fish scarce, but this was my first NH fish this season. Third silver ring on the rod is at 20 inches. It put up a great fight, jumped twice and returned to the water after the photo session.

Sebastian that is a sweet looking fish. I have only been able to cast for Bass so far. The ponds are stocked, but not having any type of watercraft makes it a waist of my time. The shoreline will be taken up by the bait guy's using 2 rods each. It only takes 5-7 of them to take up all the available space. This week they started stocking the rivers (streams), but we received 3" of rain, so now the rivers are to high to fish safely. I had to reschedule giving lessons this weekend. Trying to explain to a newbie that it's not safe to fish, when the sun is out, and it's 65* can be a challenge! Read the F**KIN Manual

Lets hope for less wind and rain, and an awesome year of fishing for everyone Thumbup
