Hi All

I just changed the home page video to one that my good friend will appreciate.  Ian Roberts tried to catch a Tarpon on a fly many years ago and did not succeed, but did get one on a bait rod, he can tell the story in this thread.

You can also go to Catch Magazine and go to issue #15 January 2011 and find another video of this Fly Fishing Journey.

ENJOY

Lee

Now catching a tarpon of  that size in a float tube is impressive I think if you really want to impress me how about a 15 foot great white in a float tube. Now that would be awesome Mr. Green

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Lol, No I was hoping to see one of the boy's north o the border go 1st .  They already have the tree trunk fly rods  made for that type of fishing. .  I could see that Stephen hooked up and being towed like the barrels in the movie jaws.  Big Grin

Unfortunately I do not live anywheres near salt water...So I will just have to settle for fishing

for atlantic salmon.....AND, Let's not be insulting my 9 foot -8 wt graphite rods...I learned a long

time ago not to go hunting bears with a bb gun....Big Grin        Gramps

Mr. Green  Stephen you are a piece  of work.  I would never make fun of your equipment . Why go small when you can go big huh. Funny my wife said the same thing to me.Big Grin
