Hello Guys,

My name is Gary Ryan. I live in Vermont and have two teenage boys who seem to know just about everything. Now how do you suppose they got so smart at such a young age?

I recently retired from a major air carrier after 31 years of driving airliners all over the world. I would not trade living in the USA for anywhere else. Sometimes I think we tend to forget what a great country this is.

Two of my favorite pastimes are fishing and hunting around Maine and New Hampshire. I really love to fly fish for native brook trout in northern Maine and N.H. Partridge hunting around the same places is also great fun. In addition, I enjoy turkey hunting, bow hunting, muzzleloading, fly fishing for striped and smallmouth bass and reading great books. Speaking of great books, I am converting a 2001 Jeep cherokee into a go anywhere "Fish Car" just as Robert Traver did in the great book entitled: Trout Madness. Those brookies

and partridge will all be in trouble now!

Cheers,

Gary

P.S. Lee, thanks for the invite.

Gary hope you enjoy the site. I spend time up in Pittsburg at Tall Timber Lodge great area. Wild brookies are Lee's passion and we try to get together at least once a year to hit the small streams. I'll have to talk to Lee and have him organize a site road trip. Welcome.

Glad to have you on board . I hope you come back and post some photos .  Maybe contribute some stories and fly fishing info . Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
