The wife and I took a drive to a area of the state that we have never been to before.  We drove east from Kittery to South Berwick, Berwick, Sanford and then north to Newfield, Standish, north to Windham and then home to Litchfield.  We took a side trip to see Wilson Lake.  The lake is one of the lakes I want to fish next year.  It's a very pretty lake that I found out holds brookies, browns and bass.  I like that combination.

I will return in the summer to fish it.  I look forward to seeing some of the members of this forum on the water.  Until then, have a happy holiday and a healthy new year.

Russ

Did you see in the stocking guide what they put in that lake this fall.  Some big fish.  Let me know when you will be fishing there and I can meet you over there.  The lake is about two miles away as the crow flies, but for me to get there I have to drive about 10 miles.  Not a problem to meet you there.

Thanks

Lee

Lee,  I know I don't visit here very often, but I would like to pick your brain.  Wilson Lake is looking quite interesting.  When do you think it will be free of ice this spring?  I'd like to get on the water as soon as I can.  Also, does it contain Rainbows?   I plan to fish a few times this summer, you are always welcome to join me.  I have a canoe, kayak or float tube... which ever is best on the lake.

Wilson usually goes out late March or early April.  Bump me and I will let you know when it is clear.  Lake contains Browns and Brook trout.  No Rainbows.  I would love to fish it with you.

Thanks

Lee
