Hey Mike I hope you catch a butt load thursday.  I went out again today landed 3 little brown trout. No size but a tug on the line just the same.  The little black stone flies are out in full force. I also saw some nice size may flies coming off the water. I am so happy to be out there enjoying the water and the weather . Sorry no pictures wife took camera to work.  Will try to get some Sat if the weather holds up. Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

I was serious about that size, if I use flies that big for trout I won't catch very many.  I really like smaller flies anyway and streames on size 12 long or short shank hooks are the nuts as far as I am concerned.  If I fish this weekend I will be using small streamers (Golden Deamon) for LL Salmon at Alton Bay.  And the best trout I ever caught was about 20 to 22 inches and 4 lbs on a size 18 pheasent tail nymph, dead drift.

Thanks

Lee

Stephen

To be truthful I would love to fish Fishing for those sea run Brook Trout in the Little Southwest Miramichi with small nymphs dead drift, but you need weight on the line and I don't think that is legal Shh there.  If you find one fish seems like there are a bunch in the same pool.  And believe me with a strike indicator and dead drift you would catch a bunch of fish. Razz

Thanks

Lee

2000 fly's, holy crap I did good to get 20 tied.  Things just kind of fell off after I had to do some reports for work on my own time at home. and was forced to clea up my flytying room, ok well it's not that clean but I had to put my flytying stuff away.  Ya I'd like to get out and try for sea trout  It's really big arounf Juniper in June.
