Couple of questions for you, are all the fish in that river Cuts and are they all wild or stocked??
Nice going, got any pictures? Maybe one of that 19 Cut.
Lee
I believe there is mix of wild fish in the river. I think some fish are stocked in parts of the river. I caught brook trout on the south tounge and snake river cutthoat, Bonivelle cuts on the north tounge river . Jay my fishing buddy caught some brookies on the north tounge as well . He also caught a brown trout in one of the deep pools. He has a few pictures of his trout I will see if he will send me them and I will send them to you. Myself my camera is to bulky for me to lug through the willows that I hiked. I worked my tail of to get away from the beaten trail and it paided off. I am going to buy a small digital like Jay has so the next time I go I can take it with me on my extreame fly fishing adventure. Man I'm so sore today. Lee those fish were so pretty. They are so fat. Jay stayed closer to the main trail and didnt hike like I did. He did land some nice fish also but I think his fish were not as fat as mine . I think because of fishing pressure.

That fish'n stuff is hard on you old fellers ...LOL
Mike you are correct about that fishing stuff being hard on an old guy. 6 hours of fishing and I'm a reck.
Lee
Oh the pain, those aching muscles. Oh but when you catch fish like I did every ache is worth it. The way I look at it . Days like that are really good for the health. Good exercise, Good for the heart and lungs but best of all its good for the soul.
PS Mike who you calling old
Dave
I'm there will be 65 in 11 days. And there are days that I feel like crap because things just don't work like they did when you were 25.
Lee
None of us are gett'n any younger boys...it just don't work like that!!
Im getting younger My body might be getting old but my mind is still a boy. Just ask my wife she says I act like a two year old all the time.
Lee I think your doing good at 65.
All wives must think of us the same way Dave!!! Mine says I'm worse than the kids
Oh what a last couple of days, I went to the Tounge River in Wy. The water levels have droped and the fishing is out of this world My freind and I landed over 75 fish today. My largest was a 19 inch Cutthoat and fat as could be. My ave was about 15 inches. They fought so hard to. I used a caddis as a dry with a WD40 dropper. They killed it. There was a BWO hacth that filled the skies. My legs are so sore. I can't tell you how many miles I walked.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
