I've been slammed at work and apologize for the two week delay.

Had a great three day weekend in Rangeley!

Arrived a little later than expected on Friday. Everything went wrong on the trip up. My buddy forgot his fly boxes so we had to turn back and start over again. Got hung up in road work on 93. Stopped to get a sandwich that turned into a half hour delay. We planned on trolling West Richardson Pond but we could not get the out board for the camp running smoothly. So we opted to wade Mill Brook before the sun went down. Mill Brook is at the north end of Upper Richardson Lake to give you a reference point. There should have been some pre spawn fish around (maybe there was) but we didn't have any luck. We fished hard till dark and went back to camp and met up with the rest of our party who were just returning from Upper Dam. They were in good sprits and had a pretty good day. The flows were way down but they got into a couple small salmon. This was the first time Kevin had been to the area and he was very happy to get a salmon on his first visit to UD.

Saturday we all got up ate a nice big breakfast and hit a local pond for the entire day. Everyone got into some brookies right off the bat. Fish were in full spawn colors and aggressive!!! Here's a couple pics of me and Kevin.

I think we brought about a dozen fish to the boat. It's only been two weeks and I'm already dreaming of next year. Still have one more trip planned to the Salmon River next month. Gotta get cracking on tying egg and stone fly patterns. You certainly go through a lot of them when you fish that river.

Nice report Paul. I am on vacation this week and having a lot of fun doing things here and there, but no fishing at this time. Hope to get to Sabego Lake some day and fish for LL Salmon. They were big last year and I suspect they will be again this year.

Good to hear from you and let me know if you would like to go to Sebago sometime this month or next.

Thanks Thanks

Lee

Nice post Paul Thumbup

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
