Hi All

Seems the site has slowed to crawl and we need some input from all you users. Are any of you out there fishing and what about your upcoming vacations, any thing good to talk about there. Just trying to get something going here so the site will be a little more active.

Lee I am all tied up with work right now . I am hoping when things slow down to take a week off and fish Idaho or Wyoming . I will post a nice story with lots of photos . .Hopefully next week I can slip a day off and hit the local streams I might be able to post something on that.Dave V

Things have been slow on my site also. Everybody must be tackling their to do lists. I am gaining on mine. But of course
I am leaving the big jobs till later in July(after the run of grilse).
I am hoping to get a couple of trout expeditions the first of next
week. As usual, a pile of little things to do between now and then.

Happy Fishing and Tying

Fished the Saco yesterday and did ok mostly bows two brookies and a brown. Hit the Swift on the way in and got nothing. Would have gone back today but the two hour drive each way wears on me.

Hey Caddis good to see you out there wetting your fly line. What did you catch them on ? Dries, Nymphs any size to the brookies ? Dave V

One of brookies was 18", bows all 10 to 14" and the brown 12" all on dries. Camera died so no pix and went swimming twice so the cell didn't work till I got home and put my wife's hair drier to it. The key is to pull the battery right away. Can you tell this isn't my first time. If falling in while fishing was an olympic event I'd be in the running for the gold believe me.

I had to go to Dieppe New Brunswick Yesterday and stopped on the way back to fish River Philip here in NS with a friend who lives there. No luck with the trout....too early for salmon but a good day anyway. Will be on the LaHave River all day Sunday for fresh run Atlantics with My buds Robbie and our very own Xray Mr. Green

went today with the wife, son and dog....not able fish or get into the spots I hike into but did manage to practice some more fly fishing. I've got a good role cast down and learned that you can use that to entice a trout. While on a slow retrieve of a roll cast I caught sight of a 8" brookie taking chase to it....had it in it's mouth and I got to excited and pulled it completly out of its mouth. I was using a cooper john. I did manage to land two 5" brookies with the same fly. Nothing big but they are giving me the good practice that I need. We fished the Pleasant River up above Brownville Junction in Kathadin Iron Works. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Crystal clear streams and just a great day. Could have used a few more clouds over head.

Hey Caddis sounds like a pretty good invite . Make sure one of you brings a camera. They make waterproof cameras by the way Mr. Green
