Hey all,

I have an old fly line in the bottom of my bag that has never been used. It's white and has a lot of stains and such on it. Probably from getting wet and not being allowed to dry. Is there anything that I can do to bring back life to this line or is it just going to be a waste. I've tried soaking it in hot water and rubbing it off, but I didn't want to use any chemicals until I checked with you guys.

Thanks for the help,

Scott

Scott

First let me tell you that I moved the topic to the appropriate forum "Rods, Reels and Accessories".

Now for your question, which by the way is a very good one. I am not sure but I think there must be something that one of the line makers has to revitialize an old line. Check web sites for line makes like Cortland, Rio and Air Flow. I am sure others may have a better answer for you.
