Hi All

This post is for all those who have an opening day (not Dave) and where are you going to fish on the first day of fishing. For me it most likely will be Alton Bay in New Hampshire for LandLocked Salmon and trout.

01 May - Big Oromocto Lake for LLS, providing that the ice is gone by then and South Oromocto for big Brookies if the ice isn't.

Oh ya just made my reservation for Grand Lake Lodge, Me for 08 May. Last cabin available for that night. I'm planning to fish on that Friday and Saturday on West Grand and may be hit the steeam as well. Can't wait.

Caddis yes I fish from shore, the docks at the marinas and the river if fish have moved up into it. Keep in touch and we will meet up sometime this spring.

Bill you really like Grand Lake Stream don't you!!!! How long a drive is that for you?? The river should be good until at least late May. Use small nymphs and dead drift them.

From my house GLS shouldn't be more than 2.5-3 hours, no further than I travel to go on the Crown Reserve. I'm bringing my boat to try the lake. The cabin's are only $42 per night per person, when I add the tax and convert to canadian funds it's still under $60.00, very reasonable. From what I understand I have to buy a milfoil sticker and put it on the boat. I'm also hoping to get in a trip to Cabelas this spring as well.

I know I have all year fishing here in the Dakotas but for me its my fishing trips to places not far away from me that I get already for These trips are what I get all excited about. . This year the wife and I were talking about a 16 hr drive to the Henry Folks or someplace else in Idaho. I will keep you posted. Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
