Well as the June 2009 deadline approaches for mandatory possession of a passport to enter the US, I'm just wondering what is all the rumor south of the border? Is there any chance that the new administration will change that? Or is it just a pipedream on my part?

I don't know for sure Bill but I doubt things will change much . I guess we will have to wait and see. Ya I have to get my passport to. They won't take a retired military card either. So I have to go thru the same thing as you. Pain in the butt for sure. Dave V

Guys

I am not sure what it is called but I think that you won't need a passport to go into or back into the US. I will try and find more info if I can and post it here.

Mike a fews year back when I went to Glacier Nat Park . I crossed over the border and they mentioned the passport thing to me. I am not sure how thats going to work out. For tourist it won't be so bad I don't think. Now for the truckers going back and forth that might be another story. I guess as long as they have all their paperwork in order it would be any different then what I had to do when I went over a couple of years ago. I guess its something else we have to get used to post 9.11 . Same as flying I am all for it if they can stop another 9.11 Dave V

I'm afraid the bad guys will probably just find some other way Dave....they always do!!
Don't know what the cross border relations are going to be like now that you all have a new government and we are having a coupe..........still can't figure out how after an election 6 weeks ago that the opposition can just say theyare getting together and declaring that they are now the Government....thats our "great" political system I guess where the guys thatdidn't win the election can govern the country Evil

....OK I'm finished being bitter now ....I THINK Wink
