Is it me or does it seem like the big box stores are a lot more friendly and willing to help customers these days. I was in Home Depot and Wallgreen's over the last couple days and was kind of floored by sales people coming up to me with a "can I help you find something". Managers must be scrambling to make every dollar they can these days and poor customer service isn't going to help. A big shift in the retail world is starting! Better prices and better service! Spending was just way out of control for the past few years and retailers raised prices and provided poor service because greedy consumers just accepted it and kept on buying. I get a lot of heat for this one from people I know but I think some of the old New England blue laws should come back. Like closing big retail stores on Sundays. People are spending less and GIVE the employees a day off too!

My sister-in-law works at Lowes too so I know what you guys have to deal with. Only reinforces my fellings that they should close on Sunday's. I could see it happening. People are spending less and think how much operating expenses could be saved with a building open 6 instead of 7 days. Must cost a fortune to heat one of those big cement building alone. People need to slow down, change their lifestyles and plan accordingly. I've been doing it for months myself. I plan my trip to the stores when I'm going by to and from work. I rarely make a special trip to get something on the weekends anymore. Unless I'm going fishing
