Took a day off from work and went fishing. I fished two rivers I have not fished in a while and found some very good fishing. First I started on the Sawyer River, which runs into the Saco in Crawford's Notch. Water was cold and the fish were small but very nice. Managed about 15 nice wild fish, some up to 6 or 7 inches. Next I tried the Rocky Branch River, again a trib that runs into the Saco. This river has always been good but has one thing about it that I don't understand. You don't catch as meny fish as the other mountain streams but the quality is great. I got around a dozen fish with most being 7 to 8 inches long and with lots of fight. Did get one that was close to 9 inches. At one point I was sure I must be catching stocked fish. But with some close observations I found all these fish to be purfact, no rounded fins or deformed dorsel fins, they were wild fish and just beautiful. Last stop was the Saco in North Conway and the fish were there but are they hard to catch. I managed one small brookie, and that was it. These fish were rising all over the river but I could not tell what they we taking.

Thats it for now, hope everyone else is having as much fun as I am, but I do need to get a little more then I have this year.

Awesome Lee. I wish I could have been with you. As I thought would happen folks back home wanted me to themselves.I did get to see whales anda school of macks. Also got to eat a few lobsters. Good to see you out fishing. Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
