Only saw about 3 dozen flies lift off. Still managed to take 11 brookies, mostly 8-10" one 12" and one that was around 14". No pix sorry.

I had my camera and didn't use it because the 14" fish was caught on a borrowed fly that had a barb on it and after landing it I had to touch it and it seemed not quite cold and didn't want to stress the fish anymore than I already had. When I tie I always pinch the barb before I start, this was a fly my buddy gave me on the water and I didn't have a plier to pinch it down. Already put a pair of needlenose in my boat bag for the future.

Good to hear that you use barbless hooks, sure does make a release much easier.

Thanks

Lee

I agree with you Lee . Barbless sure makes it eaiser to release the fish.putting less stress onth fish. Not only that but it also makes it easier to remove from clothing, nets and body parts. Caddis look into buying a pair of forceps that have a heavy plier end to pinch down the barbs. Just a thought .
