Hi All
I fished the Renous on Tuesday and the Little Southwest Miramichi
on Wednesday...No fishermen and no fish...That early bunch of fish
went through quickly and were gone shortly after the 10th of June.
Enjoyed the trip all the same and finally managed to meet Ray and swap yarns.

Glad to hear you got to go fishing. To bad you didnt catch anything but at least your not pulling weeds in the garden. I saw the pictures of Ray's cabin pretty nice. So did you guy's get to fish together ?

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Nice to see you got out to do some fishing. Stephen which pools on the LSW did you fish?? I have fished the LSW and the Northwest in the spring and the LSW once in the fall. I fished the 97 pool, Blue Stone and Clelands in the fall as well as pools around Debbie's camp on the LSW. Managed one fish in front of the camp and touched one in Clelands. See the photo's in my albums.

Just fished Foran's and local as the vehicle we had was not designed
for bumps more than 4 inches high.

Hi Lee
Yes, I have fished all three.....Bluestone is a great dry fly pool.
But the road in to there and also Clelands is not great. Big Grin
Most of my angling is done from Otter Brook down.

This might be a stupid question but how do you guy's know all the pools ? Are they marked as such or are there maps that tell you each hole or what ?

Dave

I have been up there and I have fished all the pools that I mentioned. The one fall trip I took up there in 2002. Look at the photo's in my Mirimachi Albums.

Hi Dave
There are maps of most salmon rivers with the pools marked on
them....But most pools do not have signs on them....Anyway, after
a few trips one remembers the names of them.
