Looks like Pactola lake will be getting some much needed water . The wet snow the Black Hills have been getting for the past couple of days is going to be a big help. They are getting about 24 inches of a very wet snow. This is going to raise the creeks that flow into the lake . If we continue to get mositure all of April it would be of significant valule to the trout in Rapid Creek and Castle Creek . We might even get some water flow in an almost dried up Spring Creek . This will take allot of fishing pressure off from Rapid Creek . Fisherman will be drawn to a stream once know for large Browns and Rainbows. The much needed rain and snow could also help the water managment officials that control the flow out of the dam for down stream irrigation. This war has been going on for several years now. All in all its a win win for the fly fisherman in the Black hills area.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
