"East Outlet" of moosehead lake, it is the Kennebec River. "West Branch" is the Pennobscott River. Hope this helps, do you have a Maine Gizzateer by DeLorme, if so look them up their and you will see were they are.
Lee
Ya Bill the Maine Delorme is an excellent map. (Maine Atlas and Gazetteer) You can find an area on the map that you like you fish and you will notice a grid number. You can order a blow up version of that Grid. I think you can get the DVD version now. Is that right Lee ? I have one here of a few lakes I fished back home. It even has logging roads on them. Show the streams really well .Nice map to have. You'll love the Moose Head area if you ever go.
Lee, I've been over on Fly Fishing Maine doing some reading and you've gotta fill me in on the Maine abbreviations and lingo, I've heard it a little over here but they really use it alot on FFM. Lets start with the Fabled "East Outlet" east outlet of what? Then there is the "West Branch" OK so I'll look like the dummy and ask west branch of what river? I would guess that these are such famous places in Maine that everyone knows their name. Except me. Thats OK I'm going to go on there and start talking about the "Lower North Branch" and that'll stump em. I've got the GLS one down, now I've just gotta figure out the rest.
Thanks
Bill
