What is your favorite Time of year to fish ?

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Dave

Another good question. Me I like the spring because the fish are agressive. I like the summer for the little mountain streams and the wild brookies they have. I like the fall for the weather and the fact that the fish become very active at this time of year. So I like all the times to fish for Trout and Salmon.

I love to fish the early spring when the air is still cool and there is still a chance of snow. I love the fall mainly do to the fact the majority of people are hunting Big Grin This leaves the entire stream to me. Here in South Dakota the streams are open year round so winter can be really good also.

Hi Dave
As I get older I seem to prefer fishing for salmon in the Fall.
There are fewer anglers about and a lot less of those bugs that
like to chew on my carcass..In addition, the salmon are a darker
color and I am not so tempted to keep one...I don't fish trout
after July as the water is generally warmer, the fish softer, and
their eggs are beginning to mature.

All this talk about salmon fishing makes me want to go to the North East and fish for them. You guys are very lucky.
