Guys, I was just down to Saint John for a night, and I went to Loyalist Coin and Book, a used book store it is located at 86 Germain street east side of Saint John not far from where we stayed at the Delta. Kids loved the Pool and Daddy like the hot tub. It's great you can supervise kids from the hot tub. Anyway at the used book store they have a whole shelf full of used fishing and hunting books. Some are quite old others are pretty recent. I picked up four books on waterfowling. Does anyone read Dr. Clarke's books well they have about four copies of "Song of the Reel" for about ten bucks each. If you haven't read any of Dr. Clarkes books I'd highly recommend them for anyone who has fished in NB or is interested in doing so. As he describes many rivers in detail through his stories. Lots of Ray Bergman books, obvouisly the equipment rods etc isn't up to date however the tactics and techinques change surprisingly little over the years. How to read the water was the same 50 years ago as it is today. Anyway I really enjoy reading vintage outdoor books, I find that I pick up alot of tips that you'd never think of for example one book showed how you could make a cheap crow sillouette for hunting them out of a clothes hanger and some black cloth and ofcourse the price can't be beat. For $20.00 I got four hard cover books, less than what I'd pay for one new one. Magazines are usually 50 cents to $1.00 and some of them are only a couple years old, there's a whole box full of a couple hundred of them as well in the back but you have to look for them. Anyway It's worth it to stop in a look around if your interested in reading. And no my Uncle doesn't own the store.
