Are lakers native to that lake?

No they have Rainbows Brook Trout and Splake. Now Lakers. They stocked it with 25 inch Lake Trout. I don't think it's a wise decision. In the stream there are Brown Rainbow and Natural reproducing Brook Trout. The lake Record Brook Trout was over 11 pounds taken ice fishing. They shocked up a 13 pound Brown. The main food source is crawfish. The lake itself will be fine. I worry about the stream below.
My guess is the stream will be fine but the lake will be toast. If the stream relies on bait fish from the lake then the stream will take a hit.
lakers do not normally head downstream unless chasing bait, or flushed out in a dam draw down.
I would like your opinion on this. The fish and game decided to stock Lake Trout in Deerfield lake in the Black Hills. My concern the lake feeds the only wild Brook Trout stream in the hills. I fear if a Laker find its way to Castle Creek the Brook Trout population would be destroyed. What are your thoughts ?
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
