Well it's not looking good for our opening day trip to Hatch pond.  I just made the trip up there to scout it out and it is frozen solid.  I even took a little stroll on the ice.  The access roads are still frozen with ankle to knee deep snow, so no stocking truck for at least two weeks I would say.

Keith

First please fix your photo, needs to be turned 90 degrees.  Remove it from the post and upload a corrected one.  If you can't do it I will try to fix it.

As for opening day let me find out how Shaw pond is, that is a good alternative or I could come down your way.  I will get back to you on this post ASAP with an answer.

What did you find out about that spare spool for my 1492 reel??

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

Spare spool is on its way, should have it next week.

Not sure what is going on with the picture, the preview is fine but when you open lightbox it flips.

Wow you all still have ice. Our lakes and ponds have ice free for a month now. Raining nicely today. Well I hope for warm dry weather for you folks. I want to see tight lines soon.

Dave the rest of the northern hemisphere had the warmest winter on record, New England broke the record for the most snow and coldest.

We still have ponds with 22" of ice, rain for most of the week is predicted, including opening day.

Lots is of winter kill this year, checked a couple of my holdover spots and nothing.

Sad to hear about the winter kill. That really sucks. From the sound of things it's going to be a bad high water spring for all of you as well. Bum deal

Keith

I just talked with Bill at North Country Angler and he feels Shaw Pond will be out and fishable by this Sat.  Your call as to what we do.

See Yah
Thanks

Lee, this weekend is out for me. My father-in-law passed away last night and funeral will most likely be this weekend.

Let's regroup and plan for something in the next two weekends.
