Just wanted to check in. I am sorry for my absence. Just got back from a short vacation in Maine. Enjoyed seeing family had a great time even though I spent all most the entire week sick . That didn't stop me from putting away a few lobsters clams scallops and some mighty fine chowder .I got to take in a high school football game with my dad uncle and cousin. A rival game between Waterville and my Winslow Black Raiders. We kicked butt.
Here in South Dakota have been uneventful. Fishing has been far and few between. I did get to use my 2 weight 6 1/2 foot bamboo. The Brookie .I caught a handful of small wild Brook Trout. The wind was insane.made fishing very frustrating. I went out for a while after voting yesterday. Caught a dozen or so 8 inch wild Brown Trout.
The season is fast coming to an end for the bamboo fly fishing. Sad about that for sure. Well I will try to become more active on the site maybe find some pictures to post. DAVE V
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
