Nice looking group . Sorry you folks didnt have tight lines but getting out there has to feel pretty good. Your season is just warming up. Looking forward to seeing more post and pictures from the group .
Water is still very cold, the stream I spent my morning at was in the lower 40's. Went to go see if they had stocked it yet but had no luck, just a bunch of chubs, but hey....a tugs a tug! This place doesn't hold any wild fish because it gets to warm in the summer, but it has a great rocky bottom thats easy for wading. Also got a chance to use my newly built 7' Lamiglass 3wt on the water as well, loved it.
Chubs galore, still fun to catch
Some nice looking water

Thanks Lee, It is very slow action, even for fiberglass. A 10 inch chub had it bent into the cork handle.
Brad then it is like my 6'6" 4 wt on a Lamaglass blank. Small fish seem like Whales.

The trout pond season continues to be less than stellar this year. Mark and I hit up another site on Monday that normally provides a ton of action but.... Zilch!
You know what they say....no bugs, no fish.
Have yet to see a single blackfly this spring
Hi All
Just a short and uninspiring report about todays fishing. Four of us from the site hit Hatch Pond in Eaton and we all got skunked. Rich and I were back at the cars when the CO for the area showed up and he reported that he was not able to get the full load of fish in the pond for opening day. He said he did put in about 100 fish by bucket because access with the truck was not available, too soft a road. We then tried Long Pond just down the road and in Eaton. The CO said this pond was stocked but again no luck for any of us. Rich at this time left us and Keith, Mark and myself went to the Eaton Village Store for some eats and then off to see if the South River had any fish. Sad to say no fish there as well. Not a good day as the rain started in heavier and steady so we called it a day. Here is a shot of the four of us.
