This will be a quick discussion of the changes in the new version of glFusion.  If you are having a problem please ask me for help.

  • The editor has changed in this version.  It is still a what you see is what you get editor.  Two buttons just below the Subject line control what mode you are in.  By default you are in Visual mode WYSIWYG.  The other button is to go into HTML mode.  In Visual mode use the buttons (this is going to be upgraded as I get time) to add content to the post.
  • A YouTube button is there so you can embed a "You Tube" video in the post.  Copy the new (Iframe) embed code and paste in the dialog window and then select the options you want and then insert.  You will not see a box like before but a tag line with the info to insert the video.  THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR YOU TUBE VIDEO"S.
  • Other video's from Vimeo or some where else can still be embeded, but you have to do differently.  Copy the embed code (Iframe) and go to where you want the video in the post.  Change into HTML mode and paste the code.  Switch back to Visual mode and you will see the box for the video.  You can highlight the box and center the video if you like with the center button.
  • Photo uploads have changed for the better.  When you select Add Media you go to a screen that has a box that says drop photo here, you can drag and drop your photo's or browse for them.  Other wise this works like the old way.
  • Coming in 1.4.1 we will be able to use all the smiley's from the system, until then use the limited number there.  Smiley's in the message center are as before.

That should get most going OK, as I said before if you have trouble let me know so we can get you fixed up.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

I want to show you what to look for when embeding a Vimeo Video.

Remember you need to copy the "Iframe" code and paste into the post in HTML mode.  It will something like this:

When you go back to visual mode it will show the outline of the video, at this point you can highlight the video box and center if you want.  This is what it will look like:

Hope this helps, again if you are having a problem with this let me know, and I will help as best I can.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee
