Brad
Nice report and I love those underwater shots of the fish. Good to know the fishing is holding up well for you.

Brad nice little report . As Lee said great underwater photos
Lik..e the others said...Great photos...I am glad someone is catching trout. I have not caught a trout this year..
My own fault though..I just have not taken the time...Worst is that I have a decent trout stream going through my
property. Just too busy with other projects. But be certain that I will take time for the Fall run of salmon
Well its late august and the fishing is still very good. From the size of the fish caught today I'd say they have been eating very good indeed, going to be a great fall thats for sure. I also tied up a couple new flies to try out prior to this days outing. After seeing so many caterpillars floating around I figured I make something of a combination between a caterpillar and a caddis, call it the Elk Hair Caddipillar. Also, I have been using Pheasant Tail nymphs all season long and had great luck, but they take an awful beating and before long they are all torn to pieces. So I decided to swap some green marabou with some green flash for the tail area instead, lasted all day long before I lost it in a pool too deep to venture into to retrieve. Was pretty much a 50/50 day for the dry/dropper combo.
Also picked up some young salmon smolts too, pretty neat stuff. I emailed State Biologist Don Millar about them and he confirmed they where indeed wild and not stocked.
