Feeling kind of sad we didn't get to meet up in NH like I had planned for so long. Timing was just a bit off . Sad. I did get to meet up with Stephen I am glad of that. Can I say the timing was off all vacation for fishing and sightseeing ?  When we pulled into North Conway NH after a three day road trip it was raining and everyone was busy and couldn't hook up with me. Took the wife to the top of Mt Washington and it was raining and fogged in at the peak. Then I made the trip to home and it rained for a week. We made our trip over the North Border to meet Stephen and fly fish for Salmon and low and behold it was 92.F on the Miramichi.  Then we made our way down the coast to climb up Cadillac Mountain guess what ? Yup Rain and Fog . Couldn't see a damn thing at the beach or on top. Then we made our way to Rangeley Lake region to try out our luck with the fly rods and the wind came up to put a stop to that. Not to mention I wanted to take my wife to the middle dam and missed the turn off . The trip was not a complete bust because I got to see my family . We ate good sea food and food we can't get here in SD. Still a little bummed not hooking up with you all but there is still hope . If all goe's well I will be back next Sep early Oct .

Sorry to hear your trip was a fishing bust.  Skunked on the Mirrimachi is better than a day at work anytime!  I feel your pain though. We drove out to Lake Huron a couple weeks ago and visited friends on an island there for a week.  They weren't into fishing and I spent about four days aching for at least the canoe to fish for pike and smallmouths.  There were rock bars there bigger than half the smallmouth ponds in New England!  It was nice to be away and I enjoyed the road trip though.  Especially the trip home through Ontario. From North Bay to Ottawa was really pretty and there is a LOT of water up there that we would be fun to explore.
