As I mentioned in a previous post..I am going to attempt to repair an old cedar canoe...

So far noyhing has gone right.    I had another ols canoe in terrible shape...I dragged it 

down to the side of my little workshop...after 3 days of dissection I decided there were no

salvagable materials in it....local building supply stores do not carry cedar......Therefore i

\shall have to make my own planking and a few ribs....The trail to my woodlot is still way to 

soft to be travlled on....Made an attempt last evening but had to put the Blazer in 4 wheel drive

and make a hasty retreat

much of the planking is in decent shape except on the upper 2-3 inches....Repair to both ends

will be a major undertaking
