I spent about 2 hours at barbadoes pond saturday morning, got on the water by 5:30 but the fish didn't come out till the sun started poking thru. Caught a bunch of small 6-7 brookies and one 13 inch rainbow then took off as it was starting to get busy and went home to bed. Took the wife out to Duncan sunday morning for a couple hours, water was flat calm and the fish were not being nice, only place they were even being remotely active was on the shaded side of the lake right close to shore.
Glad you all are getting out on the water and having success. I went with Jay Sat . Water is still very cold after the snow melt. We managed to land a few fish . Jay landed 6 or so Browns myself only 2 but I did hook and lose a few as well. Lets say some are swimming around with jewelry . Jay managed to hook the monster Rainbow. The fish swam right by my feet . Then his 5x tippet gave out . Should say his leader knot failed. That Bow is about 25 inches and thick across the back. That Bow has a couple flies in her lip. I lost a nice Brown as well I set the hook to hard . Oh well that's fishing . Oh by the way got my first sunburn of the season as the temps pushed 80.
managed to get out for few hours got into some nie but smaller brook trout was good few hours found small turtle and some other cool stuff ......
