So it is now 17 days and counting until the trout ponds open in New Hamshire, time to start planning our opening day get together.

The plan as of now is to meet up to fish Hatch Pond in Eaton NH.  We had a great day there last year and we are hoping to top last year's attendence.

Lee, what time should we plan on meeting up at the parking area?

I will be traveling up from the Concord area with Mark, we may have space for another plus gear, or we could caravan.

Last year we took a lunch break at the local store/post office/diner and I for one would be up for doing that again, good food.

We then moved on to a little local stream fishing in the afternoon, we could do that again or perhaps Lee could find us another local pond or river to explore?

So who's in???

 Hi Keith

Thanks for making the post.  I think around 8am should be fine for a meeting time.  Hopefully we all do well as last year.  I will have hats for sale for those who want one, they are $12 dollars each.  Not a bad price for an embroidered hat.  I think your plan is a good one about lunch and stream fishing.  But we may do another pond in the area.  See you there at 8am.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

I'll probably be fishing at Duncan Lake(Trout Pond, Ossipee) in the morning and then head over to White Pond(FFO Trout Pond, Ossipee) for the evening on Saturday and then repeat on Sunday most likely.  I'll be out floating around in a green old town canoe with big white bow numbers on it.  My brother was down from Maine last year and we hit Duncan up at dawn, 40+ fish in 2 hours, the water looked like it was boiling, amazing!  He  caught a breeder rainbow(3.5 pounds) and I lost a nice once once it went airborn.

I get out of work on 5am Saturday morning, so I'm sticking close to home.  Duncan is 20 mins from my house and White is 10.  Get out for a few hours, sleep, go back out.  Besides...I know the fishing is great at these two spots, so if it aint broke....well you know!

I just drafted another for this get-together...My friend Shaun will be joining us with his kayaks.  I just got him into flyfishing last year and he is now a true convert.  He comes at a price however, his wife requires fish as payment for his kitchen pass.

How about the infamous and ellusive Ziggy....will he be making an appearence this year????
