Bruce that is a fine looking bench, I took the liberty to make the photo show in the post. Edit the post to see how I did it.

Nice.
I had made something similar out of MDF, it now belongs to Ziggy, if we can ever get together so I can give it to him. I made a set of folding legs for it so it would be portable should I want to bring it along on a trip someday.
I just appropriated my daughters old desk and converted it into my new tying / rod building station. I also made a nice little maple tool caddy, I was thinking of starting a thread asking everyone to post thier benches/tying areas, perhaps this weekend I will do just that.
Someday I'd like a dedicated spot for the tying stuff, too. Right now the only likely spot in our house is in the room farthest from the wood stove and it's pretty cold in there. I had appropriated Jack's tying bench that we made last year, then he re-appropriated it last week so I was forced to go back to my old one or make the new one. Hope your desk doesn't have a similar fate.
Nice lookin setup there! I have my roll away I used when I was in the work force. It's HUGE. And therein lies a problem. It becomes a collection bench in the off season and right now looks like a 200 kiloton nuke went off on it
Bout March I'll start gettin the itch and it will be cleanup time and tyin time At the moment I'm lining up my weapons of destruction for the 2013 hunting season. I smell a 17 HMR in the wind
Perfect caliber for doing medulla shots on gray squirrels
My tying spot is a multi purpose location. ANd it serves very little in a the proper fashion. It looks as Koda mentioned like some sort of explosion went off at a petting zoo and hide and feathers went everywhere!
Someday soon I hope to establish a location to call my own! Then I will need to buy a case of fly boxes to fill. Speaking of which Koda I think I owe you another visit! Miy new ones are overflowing already!

I got em. You might as well grab some for Keith too as you guys will be hooking up for the big float trip
Made myself a new bench yesterday. A replica of my old one that was quite dark. The new bright maple is easier to see against. In the evening I set one of those flip up lamps on the vise deck.
