 Hi All

I have been looking for a fly reel for the Grandson's new fly rod.

I have found a Ross flyrise reel that seems to be a reasonable price.

Does anyone have any experience with one of those?

Keeping in mind that it will be used for atlantic salmon fishing.

Many thanks.

Happy Fishing and Tying

I have no direct experience with Ross but they do have a very good reputation.

I personally like the Okuma reels for price, fit, and finish.

I have a freind who swears by them Stephen.. But I think he got his reels before the went overseas.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Sadly I can do nothing here but further the idea that they have a good reputation.  But I urge you to consider an M60 of Koda's if you are toting a 6wt, anything more than that, well then try out the Ross.  But I think Koda's reels are a great deal, and they will set you back far fewer clams then the Ross will.

Just a suggestion, but that is my position.  Brandon has the M60 and loves it, and I have a 3100 that is great too.  Plus I know a couple other guys that swear by these products.
