So my boss thinks I am way too stressed out these days so he has ordered me to take one day a week off for the rest of the summer.  So today Ziggy and I hit the Took to see what kind of mayham we could stir up.

We left his place bright and early and headed just up the road a piece to fish the spot where he has been slaying the Bows.  Right away Ziggy was into the Bass.  I started off a bit slower but was soon caught up.   Ziggy landed the first trout of the day and surprise, not a rainbow, a nice little brown.

We meandered down river a bit with not much to show for it.  Ziggy had to head out for an appointment so I dropped him at home and headed down toward the center of town.  I fished my usual trout holes which were now filled with smallmouth bass, I caught so many of the things I stopped counting, it became a bit of a joke, I could just make a cast to a likely spot and...BAM...bass on.  Still a lot of fun though.   As I was making my way down stream I came apon a nice shaded little run.  I dropped my nymph into the current and let it drift through the shaddows....KABAM...a big 'ol rainbow decided to come out to play.

My only trout of the day but it was a good workout for the 3wt in the strong current.  I continued to pick up bass for another hour or so then head back to the ranch for a litlle lunch.

I think I'm going to like this mandatory day off, who am I to disobey doctor's orders.Big Grin

Nicely done new SALMON.  Very nice report.  Keith we need to fish the Rocky Branch some time soon.  May be able to take a wed off, that would work out great.
