Sounds like you had a pretty good day. A few pictures will be nice in the future, but not really needed to do a report. Glad you got out and hope all goes well with the impending wedding and hoonymoon. When you get back and get your feet under you we should try to get together and fish up in the North Conway area.

Nice work. You did exactly what i would have done. I don't know a lot about that area, but a good friend of mine from another website, took me fishing down there and showed me packer's falls and Wiswall dam. Sadly Wiswall was under construction at the time, so I couldn't fish it, but it now has a fish ladder, and that isn't so sad.
Congrats on you wedding, and I hope you enjoy your honeymoon. It sounds like fun. Maybe if your wife is tolerant of such things you could pack a rod and try some european fishing. I'd love to hear about it, if you do. If not just enjoy it, because time spent with loved ones is never a waste.
I was able to get out to the Lamprey River on Saturday, which was probably the last time for a couple weeks because I am getting married Friday and then will be in Europe for two weeks for the honeymoon.
I have been to the spot on Lee Hook Road but decided to try Packers Falls Saturday morning and was highly dissapointed. There were a lot of other people there using spinning rods and no one was catching anything. In addition, it was a difficult section to wade. I stayed for about an hour and decided to move on. I was going to try a pond in Barrington that Fish Carva suggested but passed Wiswall Road on the way and remembered there was a damn on that road that was supposed to be a good spot.
So I pulled down the road and came to the damn with a dirt parking lot next to it. I was going to just check it out and not fish and then head to the pond. I walked down the path and there was only one other person fishing from the other side of the river. The path was a little walk through high grass and woods with paths that broke off to go down to the river. I was down at the edge of the water and saw the guy fishing across the river slam a trout so I decided to throw on my waters and give it a try.
I started pretty far down from the damn and immediately started getting bites. I worked my way up the river for about an hour and caught 5 or 6 fish and didn't even get all the way back up to the damn! I can't wait to go back! I need to start to remember to take some pictures.
