Just got our power back last night between 7 and 10 PM and we are on the MA/NH line in Mass. Plenty still without power and they say it could be till Tuesday.
I'll be looking for a small generator on Monday.

Dave,

It's BAD! Been without power since 9 pm last Thursday. When I left the house on Saturday afternoon it was 45 inside. Drained the pipes, hot water heater and put anti-freeze in the toilets. House should be OK to go below freezing which I'm sure it is now. I don't have a generator so I've been staying in CT with relatives. I've lived in New England my whole life and have been through many ice storms but have never seen damage like this. Still over a 100,00 without power in NH alone. I'm about 12 miles north of the Mass border near Haverhill in Sandown. Public Service is saying many areas have to have their entire systems rebuilt from scratch. From the damage I've seen I bet Sandown is one of those areas. This is going take days and days to fix. Time to put this stuff underground guys!!! We'll throw billions at bailing out corrupt bankers how about throwing some of that into re building our roads and powergrids! Think of the jobs that could be created!!!I'll save that rant for another day.

Paul-

I think that there are still parts of Methuen without juice. Lower NH still hurting like Fish Carva says. I didn't have to shovel it so that's good but it took till 3 PM today to clean up downed trees in the yard.

My prayers go out to you all. Sad to hear . Hope it warms up enough to get that ice off those trees and lines. Dave V

I hope this bit of warm weather and the additional work crews get things back in order quickly. Power runs a lot of things one depends on but doesn't realize it.
Wife has had to lug water before.

I seen on the news tonight that Nova Scotia Power and NB Power sent some crews down to help out our yankee brothers. Hope everyone is OK but looks like some of the 300K won't get power back til after the holidays.

I am alive and kicking but the power is still off at my home. Went out early friday and is still out but we may get it back today or early tomorrow. It was nice to see on the news that Nova Scotia sent in some crews to help, they seemed more then happy to do it since CMP has helped them many times before. We have a generator but not enough for the computer to work at home, I am now at work and have a computer so I am here to say we are OK. Hope every one has power before long.
