That was a great story.  I hope that inmy future I have a little compadre for a fishing partner.  There are few as enthusiastic as a young child.  Sometimes that enthusiasm makes it a bit more difficult to teach them, but it is always a pleasure trying in my experience.

 Nice story Dave.  It was worth the wait!  Nice to see the next generation out enjoying the outdoors.  I see so many stuck in front of the computer, the TV, or video games!  I'm glad you guys got into some nice fish, I love catching brookies!  I suppose I'll have to tie me some renegades now Big Grin

    I wanted to say thanks for all the nice replies on this post.  I have to agree looks like I have a very good new fishing partner for sure. I am so happy he has taken to the fly fishing and now fly tying world.  I plan on doing everything I can to educate him 'Show him how respect the fishery the wildlife and the land. How to get involved and keep our fishery protected.  Yes a new generation of outdoors man  has begun. I love it .  
 



Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
