just a thought....if you want to make a point, if you have all of your old licenses bring them with you. Have them in order from oldest year to latest year and 2009 with a big question mark. That ought to make a warden at least laugh!

The point is that we all buy licenses every year. So why would you have not bought one this year if they were available when they should have been.

If it was a conflict with tribal groups it would certainly be in the press.

Touchy subject around these parts Scott.....LOL.....In NS the law abiding consevation minded angler is last on the list of prorities for DNR/DFO/Inland Fisheries.......I would never fish with out a license .....just blowing off steam !! Our season on the river I fish is only 6 weeks long (if it isn't closed early due to low water) and if you can't get a license til the second week the season is considerably shorter .....by 1/3!!! I miss New Brunswick Cry

Hi Bill:

Up to camp, dropped off boat in Saint John on the way. Guy was a happy buyer, really appreciated the good points of the G3. Going to use a 15 HP 4 stroke Yamaha on i. Hope it is enough power.

Why are you too sore to fish?

I too am sore, was up to a fishing club for two days and man is it hilly.

I need an ATV or get 20 years younger to fish there.

Mike, Dave Dogget and I are to go to Lahave this week. Interestrd?

Hi Ray

I'm sore because of the BFT, it's the fitness test that we have to do each year. Timed 13 Km march in FFO (Full Fighting Order) Rucksack, Tacvest, Helmet, weapon. After the march we do a Casuality evacuation/firemans carry and then have to dig out a coffin sized box of pea gravel to simulate digging a personel trench. Oh it's fun alright, but ofcourse not a tough as the old days when Mike was in and had to do the 2x10. Glad to hear that you sold your boat, was the buyer a waterfowler? I'd love to get out on another fishing trip again but my schedule at home and work pretty much precludes that. Hard to be away on a weekend when your not home through the week.

Bill

PS - Mike I was just rubbing the lic thing in, Ha Ha.

Hi Bill:

When you can get away let me know.

Just got back from day on NWM. Bright fish in. Stopped at Trout Brook and saw a guy on the other side land and release a nice salmon. Fished for awhile, my buddy raised a fish, no hook ups.
Went up to Blacks pool, fished for awhile, nothing. Changed to a Same Thing Murray tied by LaHave and bang, nice 12-15 lb salmon. Unfortunatley a long release, had him ready to net, really played him hard and leader snapped at fly. Had 6 jumps and was an early season thrill.

Thanks for the fly Mike, my favourite. Too bad I was fishing a light leader or I might have got a nice pic for dave.

Hi Ray, Hey congrats on the good fishing, thats alot more than I've had.. This month is shaping up to be pretty busy, a little thing called work getting in the way of fishing. One or two trips to St. Jean, Qc and maybe a trip to the Netherlands, have to teach a crse the first week of July and who knows what coming up next. After that I'll be taking some leave to stay at the cabin. Ya I'd sure like to sneak away for a weekend of fishing but I guess it won't be any time soon. June is always a busy month for me with kids ending school and all the events planned around that as well. If I can get away any weekends I'll drop you a line to see what your plans are.

Bill G.
