I'm sure they were well earned Dave!! Sometimes Ithink its the wives and families that should get the medals!!!

They sure do. Thats why during my retirement ceremony I gave one of mine to my mom and one to my wife when I retired. I had a certificate made up for my kid and I gave him an Iraqi, Afaganistan Freedom coin. Given to us for our service over there. Also as part of my part of my speech I talked about just that. I made them stand up and I had roses given to them one for each year they sacrificed 22. Made my mom cry . I can't imagine how much worry goes thru a mom and wife or husband while we are over there in harms way. Plus make sure all is in order at home and not show that worry to you so that you can keep your focus on your job at hand . There isnt a medal made that could show you how much that means .
