The days and my "to do" list are both alot longer. Except that I've got my house, two camps, woodlot, lake lot and the list goes on. Actually I've been getting out about once per week fishing but no big catches so the top fish prize is safe for now. Bought a new John Deere lawn tractor so I've been having fun with that as well. Every weekend is booked with something, piano recital, circus, family pot luck.

Good to see you Bill. Have you been to Quarreyville lately?? I was talking to my contact up there this evening on the phone and there wasn't much of the conversation that revolved around fish'n so I asume it ain't been great??? We are seriously considering not coming this year with the price of fuel and all I'll have to take the new 9'9wt to Sobey's and do some casting instead Evil

Hi Lee
Please define your idea of "soft Hackle style" for the body of the fly you described above. Thanks in advance.

No I haven't been up to the Miramichi since April. There are reports of sea trout in the MSW. Wished I lived closer to the Miramichi myself. I'm looking at doing more fishing in the Saint John/Oromocto river for whatever bites as it's the closest major waterway. And I can also conduct recce's for waterfowling while I am fishing. I'd like to get out and try to find some fiddleheads as well. Working all night, don't get off until Sat at 8 AM , Kids birthday party startring at 11 AM and it's supposed to rain on Saturday as well. Pray for no rain on Sunday. Hard to say what this years salmon run will be until it arrives, late as usual, yes the gas prices don't help anything I try to drive my echo as much as I can.

Tie the tip end at the bend of the hook and wind forward, Jack Garthside(sp) method. Then laya small bundle of buck tail over it, thats it simple and it works.

I'm here Dave and it looks like I'll get to do my fishing trip after all to the Ausable in NY. Things are looking good, health issues at home getting straightened out. I pop in just to have a look. Saw that video on tying Yellow Sallies, easy enough to tie. Maybe everybody is fishing.

Hey Caddis glad to see you back on and the health issues getting better. What are you going to be fishing for in NY ?
